Nova ScotiaThe Opportunity:Based from our Liverpool and Halifax NS branch, we are looking for Structured Cabling Technicians of both Senior and Junior levels to join our Telecommunications Cabling Installation team.Requirements:The successful candidate will be responsible for work duties within commercial siteenvironments compliant to all safety, code and industry standards and specification.Work duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following;Install UTP, Fibre Optic, Coaxial and Systems cabling with building premise, outside plant and campus environments.Installation of cable connectivity and termination hardware for various cabling systems.Telecommunications Room cable tray, equipment racking, and various hardware installation.Installation of cable pathways and supports including J-hooks, ladder and basket tray, solid and flexible tubing, grounding and bonding and acoustical/fire stopping.Administration and labeling telecommunications cabling system components and hardware.Systems testing and certification of copper, fibre optic, coaxial and various cabling system infrastructures including diagnosis troubleshooting and repair.Maintain and reference all company safety policies and industry standards and specifications including CAN/CSA, BISCI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and Provincial and National Codes.The Candidate:The Candidate must be hard working and possess a natural ability and willingness to learn and absorb newtechnologies. You have strong skills, are self-driven, confident and energetic. You are technology savvy, andhave excellent communication skills with both customers and co-workers.
