  • Pick-up and deliver internal and external mail and packages adhering to the daily delivery schedule.
  • Perform additional ad hoc pick-ups and deliveries as necessary.
  • Transport daily deposits and mail to the bank and post office.
  • Date stamp invoices received by mail at City Hall.
  • Ensure invoices are sent to the appropriate department for review/approval via internal mail.
  • Scan all purchase orders and invoices.
  • Other scanning and filing as needed.
  • Sort mail delivered to City Hall to appropriate mail slots.
  • Ensure envelopes to be mailed are put through the mail machine with the correct amount of postage.
  • Monitor funds available on the mail machine and generate a purchase order when necessary to replenish funds.
  • Provide basic coverage for the reception desk when the receptionist is on their lunch or break.
Other
  • Other related duties as required.
Schedule:The position is office based and normal working hours are Monday to Friday 20 hours per week with the occasional requirement to work additional hours.Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Grade 12 education.
  • Completion of an Office Administration Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution would be considered an asset.
  • Must present a neat and tidy appearance and be trustworthy.
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be proficient using technology such as a Smart phone and email.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills including verbal, reading and writing abilities.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan with an acceptable Driver’s Abstract is required. This position may be required to operate a municipal vehicle for business purposes.
