Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: Thermal Planners DepartmentJob Post End Date: 10/12/2023About this opportunity:Cenovus is currently looking for an Instrumentation Journeyman, to join their Lloydminster Upstream Maintenance department in their Lloydminster, SK location. In this role you will report to the Sr Maintenance Coordinator. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring all work under your control is executed in a safe, timely and effective manner consistent with corporate and site-specific policies, procedures, and guidelines. Candidate will be required to work off a weekly maintenance schedule and will also be required to work on break in work as required. Support an On-call schedule on a rotational basis.Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and execute repairs for SAGD, Single Well Battery, Oil Processing Facilities
  • Support development and execute maintenance programs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection on instrumentation equipment including MARP devices
  • Maintain equipment history records using manual and computer systems (SAP)
  • Complying with all HS amp;E requirements in the performance of this position #39;s responsibilities
  • Reading, interpreting P amp;ID #39;s, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams to clearly communicate, discuss and resolve problems to ensure that maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently or within a group
  • Responsible for troubleshooting problems and develop/execute necessary repairs
  • Provide technical recommendations for process and equipment improvements
  • Support other trades as necessary
  • Effective use of time management to achieve weekly scheduled work
Qualifications:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Red Seal Interprovincial Instrumentation certificate or Red Seal Interprovincial Electrician certificate with vast experience in the Instrumentation field
  • Dual ticket Instrument/Electrician certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial as a performing Instrumentation maintenance within an Oilamp; Gas, Mining, Forestry, or similar industrial facility.
