Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 1 will participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Other relevant duties may be assigned as required.Schedule: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday and shifts will vary between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours.Weekend work is required, and shifts will vary between the hours of 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator’s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers and string trimmers will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This position is contingent on receiving a satisfactory criminal record check prior to start date.
Special Instructions:Applicants must be returning to school in the subsequent academic year.
