  • Provide administrative and operational support including the preparation of court disclosures, typing of reports, statements, and outgoing and inter-office correspondence
  • Maintain manual and automated operational and administrative records management systems. Enter, modify, query, and delete data in systems such as Police reporting Occurrence System (PROS), Justice Online Information Network (JOIN), and Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC)
  • Enter, revise or remove warrants, prohibitions, conditions, stolen vehicles, missing persons and prepares narrative messages on the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC)
  • Ensure RCMP databases are updated and maintained following RCMP policies and procedures.
  • Create and assign files to Members as requested or required, run queries and request for members as requested.
  • Control the file room in accordance with detailed operating instructions and judgment.
  • Responsible for all records and files as well as the storage and destruction of inactive and dormant records.
  • Maintain other operational and administrative files as required.
  • Correspond with both Alberta and Saskatchewan Courts, Crown and probations as required
  • Operate a CPIC terminal, police radio and related office equipment.

Schedule:The position is office based; The successful candidate must be available to perform these duties on a scheduled basis, and available to work: days, evenings and nights throughout the week. Must be able to work at least one shift every 30 days.Qualifications:
  • Graduated from a post-secondary program in office administration or business administration from a recognized college or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the RCMP and Judicial Court and Legal Systems is highly desirable.
  • Completion of an Information Management Certificate is required.
  • Must have knowledge of provincial and federal statutes, criminal code and municipal bylaws.
  • Experience assisting in court related duties, including compilation of legal documents is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with a team, well organized, and committed to effective time management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain professionalism and converse in –person and through written correspondence with all levels of staff, RCMP, stakeholders and the general public.
  • Must be able to work at least one shift every 30 days.

  • RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
  • Successful applicant must provide proof of qualifications.
