Job Description

Semi/Combo Vac OperatorCompensation: Experience basedBenefits: After successful completion of 3-month probation periodPosition location: Lloydminster, ABCandidates: Must be local to the area / willing to relocate to LloydminsterShift Rotation: 5/2Requirements:

  • Class 1 or 3 license with a clean commercial abstract
  • 1+ year experience operating Semi or Combo Vac
  • Experience in other vac truck or fluid hauling equipment considered an asset
  • Must be willing to advance and learn other equipment as required
  • Knowledge and experience in Pulpamp; Paper, Thermal and Oilamp; Gas considered an asset
  • Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Spaceamp; CSO
Job Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the safety program by ensuring all company and customer policiesamp; procedures are adhered to
  • Attendance and participation in toolbox talk and safety meetings, FLRA #39;s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
  • Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
  • Able to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service
  • Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • Ensure all training requirements are up to date and current
  • Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
Working Environment:
  • Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods; this is a 24-hour business and the hours can be erratic
  • Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
  • Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet
