Job Description

Job DescriptionThe AECOM cultural resources team is currently seeking an Archaeologist applicant for an office position providing report writing and laboratory support in the cultural resources London office team. The key responsibilities are to contribute to report composition, data management, cultural material processing and analysis, and administration. In this position, you will work closely with AECOM’s Project Managers and must have a willingness to learn and develop professionally where required.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs standard scientific work requiring the application of techniques and procedures.
  • Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of the sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
  • Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
  • Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within the scope of scientific knowledge.
  • Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Works under general supervision.
