Job Description

Experience in custom architectural millwork as well as woodworking and furniture production is an asset.Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for custom cabinets and furniture.
  • Operate variety woodworking automated woodworking machinery as well as classic woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Assemble and install cabinets, counters, and doors according to specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Correctly identify, select, and prepare materials to meet building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Handle and move materials, ensuring that they are labelled and stored appropriately.
  • Troubleshoot and perform quality control on finished products.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in cabinet making or related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications for custom cabinets and furniture.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality, architectural sound and innovative designs.
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials, such as wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements.
