Job Description

  • Complete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor.
    • Areas of focus: Stowage, Covers, Guards and Access Panels (CGAP), AFES, NBC, Windshield and Washing Systems, Seats, Workstations, and unique interior mission equipment.
  • Support test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervision of test lead.
  • Provide status to supervisor on progress of tasks.
  • Share insights and ideas for improvement with supervisor. Support improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Identify opportunities for self-development. Raise ideas to supervisor attention.
  • Support quality and RCCA related activities as requested.
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years relevant engineering experience.
  • Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% USamp; International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
Preferred Experience:
  • Designing in Unigraphics (UG)
  • Competent in analyzing Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD amp;T)
  • Ability to understand and review to GDLS-C drawing standards.
  • Eng. or ability to obtain P. Eng designation
  • Proficient with GDLS-C processes and products
