Every day, we go out of our way to hire our next great team member.We are looking for a full time Security Supervisor to join our Commercial Properties team. This role ensures leadership and support to the Commercial Properties Security Teams including One London Place, downtown locations, and West 5. The Security Supervisor directly supports, organizes and facilitates the security guards in the execution of their roles on a 24-hour basis. Additionally, the Security Supervisor is responsible for oversight of parking automation at our downtown locations. Join our team and build a career you’re proud of.

  • Responsible for the scheduling of the security team to align with operational needs; provide time and attendance monitoring; and prepare biweekly payroll submission for approval and processing.
  • Oversee coordination of building security/access and parking systems at all Sifton property managed locations.
  • Support and ensure compliance for certifications and licenses and maintain emergency response planning and auditing, including fire plan updates and annual reviews/training exercises.
  • Participate in the recruitment and ongoing assessment, training, and coaching of the security team.
  • Maintain the security and safe operation of the parking services of all owned and managed parking lots.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to security/parking operational issues. Identify key performance indicators for parking using Salesforces dashboards and centralized data for regular evaluation and reporting.
  • Work in coordination with the Operations Manager to provide reviews of daily shift reports, investigate incidents and file reports where required to uphold safety in the environment.
  • Maintain accuracy through access and auditing of reports, tenant data base reports, and parking database (provide parking availability to Leasing Department) within the Salesforce system to ensure data integrity as it relates to security and parking.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in progressively responsible positions in property management and/or property security.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team.
  • Ontario Private Investigativeamp; Security Registration (required) and Valid Ontario Driver’s license (preferred).
  • Experience utilizing software packages, Security CCTV, and Access Control equipment. This includes having a working knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, security systems and building operations, fire safety, city by-laws and applicable legislation relating to providing security to Sifton Properties Limited customers and premises.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to assess customer/employee interactions and diffuse difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Assessment and problem-solving skills, knowledge and training in emergency response, with good judgement and decision-making ability.
  • Available outside of regular working hours on an occasional basis to take phone calls to provide support as required.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Able to pass and proved a Clear Police Reference Check.
