Under the authority of the Operations Manager, you will work on identifying and improving operation processes to deliver better quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Responsibilities:
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, and performance in improving process metrics.
  • Conduct analysis of the needs, identifying « root-cause» problems, suggesting solutions and translating them into processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the implementation of 5S process in the facility
  • Maintain and promote productivity and quality metrics, and create, generate reports/queries if needed
  • Develop, maintain, and review standard operation procedures (SOP) as well as training documents to be used at Regional and National levels. The person in this role will represent the DC’s at the National level, for consulting purposes, or for implementing new projects or system changes.
  • Train, advise and coach DC employees, carriers and customers on procedures and systems in place. They will act as facilitators for the introduction of these changes.
  • Ensure maintenance of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and adjust according to the daily needs of the DC’s
QualificationsTo join our team, you need:
  • University degree in administration specialized in Operations Management (GOP) or industrial engineering combined with 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Excellent Knowledge of MS-Office.
  • Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).
  • Good management of total quality, re-engineering processes and performance indicators.
  • Results and customer oriented.
  • Creativity, autonomy, and ease at promoting new ideas. Problem solving skills.
  • Perseverant
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the Lean/Six sigma principles
