Job Description

Employment OpportunityDate: June 8, 2021Bulletin No. 20-21 174Position: Kids at Play (K.A.P.) Support Worker – In this capacity you will support the instructor and work with ourKindergarten aged students providing them learning experiences necessary to develop an understanding of keyconcepts and to develop social skills through interaction and playful activities.This program runs during the regular school year (September to June)Location & Assignment:

  • Ste. Anne Elementary School– 3.0 hours per day (afternoon)
Start Date: September 2021Closing Date: Wednesday, June 16, 2021The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work with young children
  • Ability to work as a team with the program facilitator
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Creativity working to support learning programs for young children
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Ability to organize and participate in recreational activities such as games
  • Observe and monitor children’s play activities
  • Keep records/daily observations of children
Experience with the following would be an asset:
  • First aid and CPR training
  • Training, experience and knowledge in the area of Early Childhood Education
