You will be entrusted with completing large and small projects as a lead hand, progressing rapidly to Foreman, with the support of the entire Pitt Meadows Plumbing team. We use ProCore Construction Software extensively, REVISTO BIM software, along with manufacturer-specific apps and software._We offer: _

Specifically, the Refrigeration Journeyman will:

• Troubleshoot, and provide complete start-up reports on a wide variety of equipment

• Install new equipment to a high standard, read, follow, and understand equipment manuals

• Ordering equipment supplies, repair modules, and sundries for the order
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics
• Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units
• Observing and testing newly installed systems
• Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures
• Maintaining stock levels

• Informing clients of repair costs and alternate cooling options
• Train and provide support for our apprentices as needed
• Work with the entire PMP team to bring your project to a successful conclusion

Skills & Requirements

• Red Seal certification in HVAC/R with 5 years or more experience in the field
• RE and Gas B tickets
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with a clean driver’s abstract
• Previous experience as a Refrigeration Technician
• Experience installing and servicing VRF, Industrial and Commercial refrigeration systems, large split and mini-split system
• Tech-savvy

• Braising and soldering skills
• Knowledge of B52 code
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team

Compensation: DOE + 5% RRSP + Full Benefits Package (100% Company-Paid) + Life Insurance + Corporate Vehicle + Corporate Phone.Our pay plan matches the local union rates here in the Lower Mainland. We provide medical, life, dental and disability insurance and pension plan after probation. We are a very safety-driven company and will provide Fall Protection training, Scissor Lift training, WHMIS certification for new hires.
