EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYOFFICE ASSISTANT (Permanent, Full-Time)Lamp is looking for someone to join our friendly office team!Located on the top floor of the beautiful Lunenburg Academy, Lamp (the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance) is a school of music performance. The faculty are among the best in the world, and the highly skilled musicians on the verge of entering their careers travel from around the globe for the opportunity to be here.We are looking for a multitasker to join our friendly team with a great eye for detail to provide clerical and organisational support to our office. You’ll be the first person people see when they enter the office, and the voice they hear when they call on the telephone. From welcoming visitors, to answering emails & phone calls to attending live music performances no two days will be the same. You should be comfortable with the basics of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher) and, though not essential, interest and/or experience in design work (programs and posters) would be a great asset. Your days will vary widely throughout the year and will be busier while academies are in session (but quiet in the off season).Duties Include:Answering phone callsResponding to general enquiry emailsScanning, photocopying and filing documents for visiting faculty and musiciansScheduling maintenance on office equipment as requiredReceiving visitors and artists when they arrive and showing them around the officesManaging office suppliesMaintaining kitchen supplies when academies are in sessionCollecting, recording and distributing mailMaintaining the petty cash fundScheduling and organizing our cleanerScheduling volunteers to host and transport attending musicians as requiredBooking accommodation for faculty (and attending musicians)Taking concert reservations by phone/email and maintaining the reservation listUpdates to the website and social media platformsSchedule outreach programming of attending musicians with schools and care facilitiesProvide assistance to Artistic Director and General Manager as requiredMonday to Friday: 9am - 5pmThis position is to start as soon as possible, however we are happy to wait for the right person to work out their notice, or for their graduation date if currently a student.Full-time hoursPermanent Salary based on $18 per hourAdditional Benefits:* Casual dress * On-site parking * Time off in lieu of overtime worked * attend live performances freeTO APPLY:Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to:Anne Fownes, General ManagerJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:
