This locations teams are focused on manufacturing, operations and production in the delivery of Corecell. This operation is complimented by a specialized R&D function which includes Laboratory and Testing facilities ensuring continued evolution of the range. With approaching 225 employees and a wealth of know-how accumulated since the initial acquisition in July 2003 the Magog team are dedicated to delivering the future of CorecellPurpose of the Department Function Provide technical support to Gurit Americas personnel.Description of the Role Provide administration, maintenance and support of the company’s IT workplace delivering this service within agreed SLA’s to the whole site.This is a technical hands-on role that requires the job holder to have the ability to understand, analyse, test IT tasks to meet the business required. This includes assisting IT manager in network management and software programming if needed.Ensure all IT requirements are met across the site.Key Responsibilities Quality Provide a professional service that meets the end users requirements - KPIsService SLA’s/KPIsCost Actively look at most cost-effective methods which do not affect quality ofservice/product.Ensure adequate resource & service levels for 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support.Provide administration, maintenance and support of the company’s IT workplace hardware and software.Assist and support global IT teams with tasks and projects as required.Network and system security, support and administration.Escalate any issues that cannot be resolved to the Line Manager / GroupIT.Out of hours IT support for business critical issuesSetting up computers/laptops/phones/access card for new starters and for obsolete hardware replacement.Help end users in offering technical support at workplace or through phone/Teams, email.Repair and clean peripherals when possible. Do preventive maintenance and backup of critical setup.Manage and keep updated IT inventory and printer cartridges. Report material to order to IT manager.Assist IT manager with software and database programming if possible.Ensure that the company’s policies regarding usage and safety of IT equipment are respected.Skills and Experience Knowledge and use of these IT tools:Master Windows environmentComputer hardware knowledge.WAN / VPN, firewalls and wireless networksWeb programming and Database is advantageous.Minimum of 3 years’ experience as IT technician.Strong knowledge of core Microsoft operation systems and applications (Windows, Service and MS Office).Proven experience of administering/configuring Microsoft Networks including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IPStrong knowledge of desktop/server hardwareWork within a matrix type organisationStrong communication and team work skillsCollege degree in Computer ScienceOREquivalent working ExperienceProven ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical end-usersPatience, resourcefulness and a desire to helpAble to problem solve and prioritise using a logical approachCommitted to qualityAble to use own initiative and make decisionsAbility to work effectively as part of a small team in a fast paced environmentFlexible and professionalA proactive approach when working either alone or as part of the teamEnthusiastic and self-motivatedFluency in French, spoken and written.
