PAYROLL OFFICERMOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DIVISIONMountain View School Division encompasses a picturesque region of Manitoba, and is nestledbetween Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park in what is commonlyreferred to as the Parkland Region. An abundance of recreational opportunities exists in the areathat will satisfy a wide range of interests. Mountain View School Division has sixteen schools inseven communities, with a total student enrolment of approximately 3,100 students and a staffcomplement of approximately 550 employees. Additional information about the division can beviewed at www.mvsd.ca.THE POSITION:Reporting to the Coordinator of Finance, the Payroll Officer is responsible for full cycle payrollfunctions related to collecting, verifying and processing semi-monthly payrolls for salaried andhourly employees. The Payroll Officer is also responsible for benefit administration for all part-timeand full-time staff members.QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:The preferred applicant will have completed a post-secondary program in Accounting or BusinessAdministration and/or certification through the Canadian Payroll Association. The applicant willalso have a minimum 3 years of payroll experience with preference given to those with experienceprocessing payroll for 500+ employees. Equivalent combinations of education and experience willbe considered.The start date for the position will be as soon as possible.
