Job Description

Full Time Employment OpportunityReporting to the Supervisor, Inventory Re Work, the Inventory Rework Technician is responsible for providing reliable tested reworked parts andequipment to the Gaming Technicians as per Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries standards and parameters. Seven to twelve months of on the job learningtime is required to fully understand all systems, processes, procedures and expectations of the position.Duties:• Coordinate repairs with Rework Technicians based on what needs completion.

  • Inspect, calibrate, and test machine parts, monitors, power supplies, processor boards, clerk validation terminals and other surface mounted
Printed circuit boards and repair if necessary ensuring all repairs meet the current Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries/LGCA and safety standards.
  • Repair lottery ticket terminals and related equipment (i.e. printers, ticket checkers, led signs, bar code readers, LCD’s, etc.).
  • Review work orders and complete necessary repairs.
  • Conduct input/output tests and parameter settings on repaired items ensuring checklist with set standards is followed.
  • Document all completed repairs.
  • Perform troubleshooting techniques and solutions.
  • Configure Video Lottery Terminals and Lottery Ticket Terminals for installation in retailer locations as per Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries & LGCA
requirements.
  • Operate specialized test equipment to repair gaming equipment components.
  • Provide technical assistance to Gaming Technicians as required.
  • Encourage a climate that supports diversity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Primary Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a recognized electronics program is required.
  • Must have one to two (1 – 2) years prior experience as a bench technician and diagnosing board level repairs to understand the complexity of the
gaming terminals.
  • Must possess a certificate in electronics.
  • Successful completion of in house training on VLD gaming equipment, components and processes is required.
  • Upgrading is required on an annual basis to keep up to date on new technology and changes in the gaming environment.
  • Manufacturer and Vendor training on new equipment are also provided.

  • Electrical Safety certification from a recognized institution (i.e. Manitoba Hydro) in addition to any electrical safety training.
