Position: PsychometristLocation: Area 2 SchoolsStart Date: January 6, 2022FTE: 2 days/week, 10 months/yearTerm of Employment: Term to June 30, 2022Salary: $30.12/hourApplication Deadline: Open until a suitable candidate is foundUnder the supervision of a School Psychologist and the leadership of the Area Superintendent, the Psychometrist willadminister and score a variety of standardized psychological tests, maintain records, tabulate results, and prepare reportsrelative to the testing. This position will involve remote-work (e-services) as well as possible travel to the following schoolsites: Barrows, Beulah, Dauphin River, Duck Bay, Grand Rapids, Gypsumville, Crane River, Camperville, St. Martin,Rorketon, Skownan and Waterhen, which may result in overnight stays.QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Psychology or completed courses required for a Master’s degree in Psychology or other disciplineproviding training in testing and measurement. Experience in the administration and scoring of a wide variety of psychological tests Demonstrated training and experience in assessment of behavioural, adaptive and developmental functioning wouldbe an asset. Strong interpersonal, communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with a wide range of individuals/groups. Willingness to adapt to new techniques and best practices as well as maintaining knowledge, skills and abilities bykeeping up to date regarding professional standards. Ability to work flexible hours to meet productivity goals. Experience working with Indigenous communities and using culturally affirming approaches preferred Valid Manitoba Driver’s license and ability to travel Effective organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines Excellent computer/technology skillsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers and scores a variety of standardized psychological assessment tools used for evaluating cognitiveabilities, adaptive functioning, learning abilities, and social and emotional functioning. Coordinates completion of assessments with School Psychologists in a timely fashion. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in overall delivery of care to students, their families and thecommunity, which may include group interventions and workshops. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with professional guidelines.
