This role (Business Finance Manager) is assessed as a Remote position requiring minimal days in the office (0-1 days per week) unless business demands require. Job Summary:In response to the new Ontario Autism Program, which now funds families directly for the purchase of#39;core clinical #39; autism services, our organization has strategically transitioned to a fee-for-service model. As the Business Finance Manager for Autism Services, you will play a pivotal role in our Autism Fee-for-Service program. This program focuses on developing compelling product offerings to families directly, allowing for an integrated client experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Business Transformation, and with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Sr. Manager Financial Planningamp; Reporting, you will ensure the financial sustainability of this vital service by managing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the program.This is a temporary position with a contract length of 1 year. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance, Business Transformation, Sr. Manager Financial Planningamp; Reporting, and Finance Manager (Autism) in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting functions.
  • Work closely with the business development and operations teams to deliver on business plans and projections, and identify new opportunities to attract families seeking autism services.
  • Drive a customer-centric financial approach, aligning financial strategies with our go-to-market strategy for the Autism Fee-for-Service programs.
  • Enhance understanding and execution of the existing budget, identify areas for improvement, and transform reporting methods to streamline monthly Autism Fee-for-Service financial reporting.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the program #39;s performance and financial health.
  • Facilitate the change management process around the monthly financial review to enhance team understanding and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of strategic financial management within the organization and across cross-functional teams.
  • Promote efficient knowledge transfer and continuous learning within the finance team.
  • Assist in the launch and management of new financial systems and processes.
  • Leverage technologies such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Apps to enhance our business intelligence infrastructure.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; a professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, or a similar role within a for-profit setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect financial management with business strategy.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; hands-on experience with MS Excel and other financial planning software.
  • Knowledge of databases, macros, SQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Apps will be an advantage.
  • Experience in change management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills; able to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Experience or familiarity with the Autism Fee-for-Service sector is an advantage.
