Job Description

Job DescriptionAECOM is searching for an Instrumentationamp; Automation Engineering Intern to be based in the Markham, ON office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide SCADA, Control Systems, and Ethernet Network design.
  • Develop, test, and commission PLC/SCADA applications. Implement Software Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Prepare contract documents, including drawings and specifications, I/O lists, and instrument data sheets.
  • Provide conceptual and/or detailed engineering of process instrumentation and control systems. Assist other designers in the development of process monitoring and control strategies including the preparation of P amp;IDs, Process Control Narratives, and hardware and software design specifications.
  • Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, CAD staff, Project Managers, and other disciplines as required.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with AECOM QA/QC programs.
  • Ensure that project needs are met in an effective and timely manner.
  • Work within a multi-discipline team to design, develop, and implement efficient and reliable SCADA/Control Systems.
  • Work with Department and Project Managers and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project.
  • Be accountable for providing all activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of AECOM’s policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.
