Job Description

Since 1977, Centrecorp has grown to become Canada #39;s premiere property management and leasing company specializing in neighbourhood and community shopping centres and other retail properties.POSITION: Property AccountantREPORTING: Reports to Supervisor, Property AccountingJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the property management books for the assigned portfolio
  • Balance sheet, bank and GST/HST reconciliations for the portfolio
  • Assist the operations groups in preparation of the annual budget
  • Monitor and control cash flow
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation ensuring deadlines are met
  • Prepare month and year end working papers
  • Assist with yearend audits
  • Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in accounting
  • Experience with JD Edwards system preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multitask under tight deadlines
  • Well organized, analytical, problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
