  • Provide an environment to the residents, staff and visitors that is safe, secure, healthy and happy leading to excellence and quality of care
  • Provide a high level of leadership supporting care, nursing, dietary, maintenance and housekeeping staff
  • Provide a high level of clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff
  • Facilitate and promote the interdisciplinary approach within the home through the nursing, dietary, recreation, housekeeping and maintenance departments

  • Graduate of a recognized school of nursing and currently registered Nurse(RN or RPN) with BCCNM
  • Two (2) years nursing experience in Continuing Care Sector (Dementia care and End of Life care would be an advantage)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess the personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents
  • Must have a commitment to excellence in Care of the older person in a Continuing Care environment
  • Must be committed and an understanding of working with residents with dementia and end of life journeys
  • Shows a caring and considerate attitude to residents, visitors and staff
  • Must have proven leadership and team-building skills and be able to motivate staff

Many with expansive views over the Fraser River and towering trees. Casa Mia is a storied 1930’s mansion boasting views of gorgeous grounds, the Fraser River, Georgia Straight, and the mountains of Vancouver Island. This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor. Casa Mia provides our residents with a modern care environment with a throw back to Vancouver’s heritage. Casa Mia works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
