This opportunity oversees over 500 employees in BC within a unionized environment.This position will be leading human resource in BC.. The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience leading a unionized environment, understand BC Employment Law, Bullyingamp; Harassment investigations, Accommodation for workplace injury, and be able to mentor several leaders across the business.Responsibilities:in the Life:

  • Main HR point of contact in BC Region
  • Manage a portfolio of 500+ employees across BC
  • Compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development and relocation support
  • Advise management on BC Employment law
  • Mediate work related issues at all levels
  • Provide accurate HR counsel to the area’s executive team
  • Provide guidance on policies including interpretation and discipline
  • Develop short-term and long-term business strategy
  • Ensures that adequate and effective training and development opportunities are provided that meet the business needs
  • Effectively manages employee relations issues
  • Coordinate on projects, compliance, testing, reporting, and facilitate problem solving and resolution
Job Requirements:Requirements:
  • Ability to work 100% onsite
  • 5-10 years of local experience in a Unionized HR environment
  • Must drive and have own vehicle , occasionally site visits are required
  • Experience within production and manufacturing
  • Labor Relations knowledge
  • Understand BC Employment Standards
  • Knowledge Respect in the workplace strategies
  • Experience handling Bullyingamp; Harassment investigations
  • Accommodation for workplace injury
  • Experience working with different corporate levels, understanding things may not move quickly in this environment
  • Excellent writing skills
