Under the direction of the Executive Chef and the supervision of our Culinary management Team, We are looking for a 1st Cook who isn #39;t afraid to break the mold, take risks and push the boundaries of what #39;s possible in the kitchen. Our 1st Cook is responsible for maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of all sections on the line and serving areas. Providing gracious level of customer service to ensure guest satisfaction in a high-volume establishment. This role must contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment and must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!.   • Responsible for preparing all menu items with strict adherence to menu and ingredients specifications;
  • Direct the line and be accountable for the success of each shift; provide training to 2ndamp; 3rd Cooks on menu items
  • Setup, prepare and cook food items for the buffet or Pub outlets;
  • Work co-operatively with other kitchen personnel to prepare hot and cold food items for the buffet and Pub;
  • Prepare meat, seafood and raw food items in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards;
  • Comply with food safety regulations and ensure all temperature logs are completed accurately;
  • Control food waste and spoilage;
  • Daily cleanliness standards and health and safety protocols need to be adhered to on a daily basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed;
What you #39;ll need to be Successful!
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Minimum 1-3 years as a 2nd Cook or other relevant progressive culinary experience
  • Working towards RED SEAL certification or desire to grow in the culinary arts
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including, days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff
  • Ability to pass a criminal background checkamp; attain a Food Safety Certification
