The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in French and English, understand complex Accident Benefits claims adjusting, have a passion to provide exceptional customer experiences and enjoy coaching and mentoring junior adjusters.Location can be in either of the following offices in our Atlantic region: Moncton, NB, Dartmouth, NS and St John #39;s NFLD.What you #39;ll do here:

  • Manage a pending of moderate - complex accident benefits claims for Bilingual (French and English) claimants
  • Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable.
  • Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with the customer, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims and report findings and settlements.
  • Conduct investigations and identify additional information such as independent medical examinations, customers medical or employment history required to clarify and/or justify a claim.
  • Collect reports and statements to determine liability and coverage.
  • Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet any or all legislative requirements.
  • Assist junior staff with day-to-day issues, escalating more serious issues to senior specialists, consultant or management staff.
What you bring to the table:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience adjusting Accident Benefits claims.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in French and English.
  • Must be able to obtain a license for New Brunswick which is required for this position, additionally, working towards or completed Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and complex claims.
  • Knowledge of the provincial legislation governing auto insurance.
  • Previous experience within kinesiology or rehabilitation environment is considered a strong asset.
  • University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills.
