Job Description

COASTLINE LOGISTICS COORDINATORMidland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers. Our services include LTL, Truckload, Courier, and Third Party Logistics which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.Midland Transport is currently seeking a Coastline Logistics Coordinator based out of our seafood division at our Moncton Refrigerated DC location. The selected candidate is a self-starter used to working in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic, and aquot;Can Do quot; attitude. The work schedule for this position is from Tuesday to Saturday 8 AM to 5 PM and Wednesday 6 AM to 3 PM.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma, post-secondary education is an asset
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in transportation industry is required
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite, AS400
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bilingualism is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate weekly volume of fish loads
  • Prepare paperwork for custom brokers and shipment deadlines
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets for fish movement, revenue and quote summaries
  • Review trailer arrival and delivery schedules to notify customers as required
  • Monitor claims/reports/issues to address missing product or overages
  • Provide sales support to create customer profiles and address inquiries on potential new customers and to create business opportunities
  • Take turns with co-workers on call 24/7 in weekly intervals.
