Our advisors are their advisors-the people who have always been by their side and know every acre of their local area.Our sector is seeking a:Mill Manager006754Work location: 92 Halifax Street, Moncton, NBStatus: Professional, Permanent, Full TimeThis position has responsibility for the management of the Moncton Feed Mill producing an extensive line of quality livestock feeds in an efficient and profitable manner, in order to meet customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction within a defined territory. The mill will be managed as an independent business unit, but will work closely with the Truro and New Minas based mills to the benefit of the whole AFSI.CHALLENGES WE OFFER

  • Achieves budgeted costs, budgeted sales and budgeted gross margins for the Moncton Feed Mill operations.
  • Ensures that inventory levels are kept at optimum levels to minimize cost but maintain production requirements.
  • Ensures the production, sale and delivery of quality feeds and ingredients by developing employee understanding and commitment, as well as a good rapport with nutrition and procurement staff.
  • Motivates and educates employees in personal safety and security of property.
  • Motivates and develops employees to become an effective and efficient work force by individual and group consultation and training program.
  • Nurtures harmonious relations with employees by fair and equitable administration of a collective agreement.
  • Improves office, plant and delivery operations by analyzing operations, developing and implementing plans to reduce costs and/or improve quality and service.
  • Purchases maintenance parts, new equipment, supplies and services for plant, warehouse and office.
  • Participates in labour negotiations between management and the bargaining unit.
YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:
  • You possess 7-10 years experience in a related field;
  • You demonstrate excellent leadership and multi-tasking abilities;
  • You have strong team work skills;
  • You have great attention to detail;
  • You must be able to work in a noisy/dusty environment /various weather conditions;
  • You have a high degree of safety awareness and commitment to safety;
  • You have strong work ethic and a positive attitude;
  • You are physically fit;
  • You have good computer skills.
