Job Description

Company is based out of Shellbrook, SaskatchewanHours: Approximately 40-70 hours a weekLanguages: EnglishEducation/Certificates/Credentials: Driver's License (Class 1 or A)Type of Trucking and Equipment:

  • Flatbed
  • Tractor-trailer B train
  • Liquid bulk
  • Tractor-trailer
  • Water Truck and Spray Truck (Seasonal)
Security and Safety:
  • Medical exam
  • Driver's validity license check
  • Driving record check (abstract with NSC portion)
Transportation/Travel Information:
  • Willing to travel for extended periods (usually 4-6 days). We haul mainly in the western provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba).
  • Drive manual transmission vehicle
  • Valid driver's license

Own Tools/Equipment:

  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

  • Inspection report (pre-trip, on-route, post-trip)

  • Maintenance and repair reports
Specific Skills:
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucked to transport goods and materials
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Record cargo information
  • Hours of service
  • Distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, on-route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
