This will include responsibility for inspecting, cleaning, loading, and weighing railcars and trucks and completing required paperwork necessary to release railcars and trucks from the facility.:Position Overview:The Shipping Operator is responsible for the safe handling, storage, transferring and loading of liquid Anhydrous Ammonia and Granular Urea in accordance with applicable Governmental Regulations, Corporate and Company Codes of Practice, Policies and Guidelines. This will include responsibility for inspecting, cleaning, loading, and weighing railcars and trucks and completing required paperwork necessary to release railcars and trucks from the facility.What you #39;ll do:

  • Demonstrate leadership and contribute positively to the facility safety culture through active, positive participation in EHS safety programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes to perform successfully at CF; In the key areas of People Leadership, Results Leadership, Thought Leadershipamp; Self Leadership
  • Safe operations of urea loading systems (conveyor systems, troubleshooting instrumentation)
  • Operating mobile equipment; forklift, front end loader and track mobile/Locomotive.
  • Safe operation of ammonia loading systems (ammonia pumps, valves)
  • Safe operation of locomotive/track mobile, rail movement and switching
  • Moving railcars and maintaining current rail inventory and infrastructure
  • Maintains housekeeping which requires moving dry urea product by shovel and wheel barrel.
  • Follow all equipment Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Understand and follow all Industrial Rail Regulations Safety Management System
  • Comply with Transportation of Dangerous Good Rules and Rail Security Program
  • During abnormal situations, troubleshoot the product handling and mobile equipment to enable writing or Work Requests for repair.
  • Maintain shift logs and complete regular checklists and communicate information to supervision and peers.
  • Work as a team and share responsibilities and assist others as needed.
Required Skills
  • The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma.
  • A valid driver #39;s license.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other Computer Systems
  • Mechanical Aptitude considered an asset.
  • Previous experience Operating Heavy Equipment considered an asset.
  • Must have good interpersonal and trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Fully Qualified Shipping operator status.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes to perform successfully in the key areas of People Leadership, Results Leadership, Thought Leadershipamp; Self Leadership.
  • Time Management: Identifies, establishes priorities, and executes tasks to consistently deliver results within required timelines.

  • Judgment and decision-making: An understanding of your own personal knowledge and limitations when considering long and short-term decisions and recommendations.
