  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in the natural resource management field, PLUS 2 years of related experience working in natural resource management; OR,
  • Diploma in the natural resource management field, PLUS 3 years of related experience working in natural resource management; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of natural resource management theories, legislation, practices, concepts and processes.
Preference may be given for one or more of the following:
  • Current BC experience (last five years) in water allocation.
  • Experience in consulting, negotiating and resolving conflicts with stakeholders in natural resource management.
  • Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes (i.e. Water Sustainability Act) that support natural resource management relating to water allocation and management.
  • Direct experience and/or education in hydrogeology and/or hydrology.
Provisos:
  • Valid BC Class 5 BC driver’s licence, or equivalent.
  • Willingness to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies in difficult terrain.
