  • provide secretarial and administrative services at an advanced level;
  • type a variety of confidential material (letters, directives and reports);
  • maintain diary and schedule for the Superintendent;
  • arrange travel accommodations;
  • respond to telephone inquiries;
  • maintain personnel records.
How do I qualifyOffice Administrative Skills:
  • you have well developed administrative and organizational skills to meet priorities and deadlines
  • you have experience in providing confidential secretarial and office administrative support
  • you have an eye for accuracy and attention to detail and are able to transcribe a variety of documents
  • you have knowledge and work experience with standard office and filing procedures
  • you have proven work experience with various human resources and payroll functions
Judgment and Problem Solving Skills:
  • you have experience applying judgment, initiative and discretion when dealing with confidential, legal and/or sensitive information
  • you are able to research, obtain and compile information and explore alternatives in order to prepare written material
  • you have excellent problem solving skills that will promote competence and good judgment with staff
  • you have initiative to investigate possible discrepancies with a variety of information
Organizational Skills:
  • you have proven ability to determine urgency among competing demands
  • you can demonstrate initiative in coordinating administrative work flow to ensure completion within prescribed timelines
  • you can multi-task and use your coordination skills to prioritize a variety of tasks
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • you have excellent communication skills to provide information to others in person, on the telephone and in writing by email
  • you are tactful when responding to a wide variety of inquiries from staff and external contacts
  • you can maintain and support team partnerships across the program areas and within the regional team
Computer Skills:
  • you have proven computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database and e-mail software as well as various office equipment
  • you have proven work experience with computerized payroll systems
  • you are proficient at entering and retrieving data to maintain statistical reports
