Job Description

Ledcor Employee Apply internally in Workday.DescriptionJob Summary:You are a labourer with 2 -4 years of experience in underground utility construction. You will perform general labourer duties and collaborate with the other crew members to complete work safely and efficiently, under the direction of the foreman.Apply now and join our Ledcor Technical Services team in Milton, ON Today!Responsibilities:

  • Completes regular vehicle maintenance checks and associated paperwork
  • Drives crew truck or 3-ton dump truck with trailer in tow. Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle (interior and exterior)
  • Works with crew members to perform the day’s tasks install service boxes, rod, and rope conduits, placing underground cables in conduits, support directional bore operations, removing and replacing concrete and asphalt, etc.
  • lifts heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Assists in restoring job sites back to their original state
  • Maintains a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience working in the underground utility construction, civil construction or landscaping
  • Capable of reading underground telecommunication plans and work maps
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to attend to a broad range of activities
  • Technically adept with a strong ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem solve
  • Capable of writing clearly and succinctly for different forms of communication
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Class 5 or Class 3 license required
  • Must be fully vaccinated and provide valid COVID-19 vaccination record (unless you have a legitimate recognized medical or religious reason for not getting vaccinated)
Working Conditions:
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
