Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Role Summary This role is responsible for conducting pre-placement medicals, co-ordinating medical monitoring programs, co-ordinating return to work programs, claims management and first aid. Key Responsibilities •Coordinates return to work programs and follows up on progress.•Conducts pre-placement medicals and forklift medicals.•Provides first aid for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.•Coordinates medical monitoring programs – audiometric test, vision tests, forklift driver periodic assessments, immunizations, and respirator fitness tests.•Coordinates STD, LTD and WSIB disability claims.•Coordinates the Early Safe Return to Work Program.•Promotes team member wellness programs.•Supports Health and Safety, Environment and Human Resources Team Members. •Champions COVID response management through the coordination of a testing program, screening, providing updates to the team on legislated and policy changes along with reporting requirements to government bodies. •Liaises with leadership regarding Team Member’s status of absence and progress on modified work.•Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., IATF16949, ISO14001).•Understands, promotes, and lives by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter.•Adheres to Modatek’s core values, integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness, and loyalty.•Perform other duties as required.Key Qualifications/Requirements •Must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). A diploma (DOHN) and/or Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-C) is considered an asset.•Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications. •Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook).•Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.•Ability to work independently. •Ability to uphold confidentiality.•Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.•Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs.
