Job Description

8150 Parkhill DriveMilton, Ontario, L9T5V7CanadaJob SummaryWorking in the shipping department, you will be required to work a 12-hour day continental shift. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working as part of a team you are responsible for loading corrugated products to ensure safe delivery following order specs or other instructions
  • Ensure final inspection has been performed prior to shipping.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring order specs and special requirements are accurately followed
  • Assist with inventory counts as scheduled
  • Load/unload trucks
  • Operate all forklift, clamp trucks and hand lifts in a careful and safe manner when moving or hoisting shipments
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems
  • Maintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
What you need to do the job
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Shipper/Receiver
  • Prior experience working in a shipping office
  • Valid lift truck license
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance
