Job Description

PWTransit is currently looking for a Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Milton. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday from 5:00 pm - 1:00 am.Reporting to the Shop Foreman, Wash Bay Attendants are responsible for the replenishing of fluids and cleaning the interior and exterior of all company vehicles. Wash Bay Attendants are also responsible for fare box probing and transfer of cash from the fare box to the secure vault.Qualifications:

  • Class G Driver’s license or higher and / or air brake endorsement (Z)
  • Previous maintenance, vehicle detailing and / or bus operator experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
  • Clean the interior and exterior of various vehicles as determined by the Company
  • Fuel and check all fluid levels consistent with cleaning and fueling procedures
  • Enter fuel and fluid data into Web Fleet Assistant (WFA)
  • Clean interior and exterior bus advertising and back lit lighting, report any interior lights that are not working
  • Replace interior & exterior advertising signs when instructed to do so
  • As part of the vault dumping procedures, probe fareboxes to download ridership information and empty vehicle vault canisters into central vault receiver unit
  • May be required to pre-trip a spare bus
  • Cleaning engine compartments, undercarriages, wheels, and vehicle parts cleaning
  • May be required to operate Forklifts, Dollies, or other material handling equipment
  • Miscellaneous building cleaning duties, dumping trashcans and washing floors when assigned
  • May be assigned incidental tasks of a janitorial nature or general clean up and painting duties that are commonly associated with the operation of a maintenance center and bus parking/servicing garage
