Job Description

Explore exciting career opportunities now.As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for learning new technologies using various software tools to create accurate and comprehensive documents. Your tasks will include determining requirements for technical documentation, gathering data from technical staff, reading and analyzing technical schematics and drawings, and collaborating with product specialists and technical instructors to verify content. Additionally, you will be tasked with planning and conducting research on hardware and software, drafting and editing documents, customizing data to specifications, and performing computer validations. You will also participate in internal peer reviews, coordinate review and approval processes, and bring innovative ideas to improve documents and documentation processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine requirements for technical documentation.
  • Gather data from technical staff.
  • Read and analyze technical schematics and drawings.
  • Collaborate with product specialists and technical instructors to verify content.
  • Draft and edit documents.
  • Customize data to specifications.
  • Perform computer validations.
  • Participate in internal peer reviews.

Requirements
  • Bachelor #39;s or college degree in Communication or Computer Science.
  • Three to five years of experience as a technical writer.
  • Proficiency in XML S1000D authoring tool and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of HTML and DITA languages.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
