Shannex is seekin g a Dietary Aid to join their team based in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Support Services Manager , the successful candidate will be responsible for client satisfaction and maintaining excellent service standards in every dining setting. Members of the Culinary team are also responsible for the receiving and inventory of food supplies as well as ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met and to prepare the plates for service. You hold Basic Safety Training /the Food Handlers Course, while completion of the Basic CPR First Aid Certificate is considered an asset. You possess some experience in the culinary field and are accustomed to preparing plates for clients. You have previous experience working with the elderly and can demonstrate a resident-focused approach to service, using strong verbal and written communication skills in English and organizational skills. You can work flexible hours and shifts (including weekends and holidays) and have a strong attendance record from previous roles. Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in other languages considered an asset.How you will do it…Consistently ensures food quality, presentation, and service delivery meet established department standards. Ensures meals are attractive, the correct temperature and portion size, and that service is timely.Follows production sheets to guide food preparation and assist with cost control.Familiarizes self with the specific needs of each client e.g. diet restrictions, allergies and special requests/accommodations.Assists with the process for checking and receiving of deliveries and inventory control.
