Job Description

Horizon Health Network is looking for Environmental Services Workers join our team in the beautiful Miramichi! These are CASUAL positions.This is the life-changing opportunity you’ve been looking for.Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is actively recruiting Environmental Services Workers to join the team in Miramichi.As a Environmental Services Worker at Horizon, you are will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Washes, disinfects, dry and wet mops floors
  • Strips, waxes, buffs and refinishes floors
  • Cleans carpets by vacuuming, treating stains and steam cleaning
  • Performs major housecleaning of walls, windows, ceilings and all other fixtures as required.
  • Disinfects and cleans isolation and speciality rooms using isolation procedures
  • Cleaning patient rooms and designated areas
  • Performing waste management activities, which may include emptying waste receptacles, including sharps containers and collecting soiled linens
  • Disassembles, transports, assembles and arranges furniture
  • Makes beds and changes linens; disinfects and changes bed curtains and window dressings
  • Orders, stores and maintains inventory
