Job Description

Canadian Royalties Inc. is a private mining company based in Montreal that operates a copper and nickel mine in Nunavik.Exploration Intern (4 MONTHS)“Exp22-08”Number of people to hire: 1Department: ExplorationLocation: Nunavik (Fly-In / Fly-out)Horaire de travail: The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 paid weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks of rest.Salary: 25$/Hour & Time and a Half during the weekendDeadline to apply: July 30th, 2022Your next challengesReporting to the Geologist, the Geological Exploration Intern is responsible for assisting the Senior Geologist and the Project Geologist. His main responsibilities are:

  • Assist the exploration geologist in their daily tasks;
  • Conducting gyroscopic deviation surveys in the boreholes;
  • Assist in the management of the core shack;
  • Locate drill hole locations and drilling site preparation;
  • Drill site inspection; during and after drilling operations, ensure environmental and safety standards are met;
  • Perform geophysical data acquisition on drill cores; measure magnetic susceptibility, conductivity and rock density from drill cores;
  • Measure the density of representative rock types and mineralization types and record the data in a table provided.
The profile Sought
  • University student, specializing in geology or geological engineering;
  • Be in good physical shape, be able to lift heavy weights (maximum 45 lbs);
  • Possess a valid drivers license is essential;
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite.

  • Excellent skills in developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships;
