Job Description

General Labourers (Miramichi)Job Purpose: The General Labourer follows instructions from the Lead Hand, Supervisor or Coordinator to ensure that specific production requirements are met.Responsibilities and Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Quality: · Read, understand and follow work/assembly instructions as required for the job.· Consistently meet all specifications and standards in production as they relate to the job.

  • Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
General Duties:
  • Wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment.
  • Use required tools properly and maintain them to prevent damage.
  • Report broken or damaged tools/machinery promptly.
  • Adhere to all applicable environmental and health and safety regulations as they apply to the job.
Experience: · Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset· Experience using a variety of hand tools and power toolsEducation/Professional Certification: · High School Diploma or EquivalentSkills: · Proven ability to work well with others or independently with minimal supervision· Manual dexterity and physical strength to lift heavy objects(up to 50 lbs)· Good communication skills· Strong problem solving skills· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions· Capable of performing in a high-volume production facilityWorking Conditions and Physical RequirementsMay require the following:· Shift work· Standing for long periods of time· Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)· Repetitive tasks· Working in warm/hot temperatures· Dusty environment· Noisy environmentDEW is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.DEW is committed to create and maintain an inclusive and barrier-free environment for its employees.
