DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT(Anglophone Sector)Linguistic Coaches/Accompagnateurs(trices) linguistiques en français langue seconde (PB4)Two-year opportunity with possibility of extensionAnglophone School District (North)The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking four linguistic coaches, who would work from each of the anglophone school districts. As a member of the Services linguistiques team, you will work in collaboration with a district FSL Coordinator and report to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the school district for the day-to-day operations of the position. The linguistic coach will also report to the Project Lead for Services linguistiques in relation to the attainment of the overarching goals of this project at the provincial level. Duties are, but are not limited to reviewing documents outlining clients' profile of proficiency in French, working to identify appropriate cultural and linguistic learning experiences to meet the needs of the client (teachers), supporting with timely communication and coaching, creating new learning experiences on a learning management system and participating as a member of a provincial team of language coaches to provide flexible and personalized opportunities to help teachers maintain or improve their current linguistic and cultural understandings.Please identify clearly on your application, which district(s) you are applying for.Work environmentOffice location will be within the school zone assignedAnglophone School District North (www.asd-n.nbed.nb.ca)Office layout: dedicated office space will allow for conversations/coachingYour Team: You will be a member of a select provincial team of Linguistic Coaches. You believe in a vision of pluriculturalism and plurilingualism.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's or graduate degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or a minimum of 4 years of related experience.An equivalent combination of training or related experience in a field such as adult education/coaching may be considered.Written and spoken competence in French and English is required. French oral language proficiency should be at Superior level on the New Brunswick Oral proficiency scale and overall C1-2 level on Common European Framework of Reference.Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
