Horizon Health Network is an equal opportunity employer.COMPETITION #: 2021-55051 ExternalBARGAINING UNIT: Non-BargainingZONE: Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John, Upper River Valley, CorporateDEPARTMENT: RISK MANAGEMENTFACILITY: The Moncton HospitalPOSTING TYPE: Permanent Full TimeJOB TITLE: INTEGRATED RISK MANAGEMENT - MANAGERCLASSIFICATION: Non BargainingLANGUAGE: English EssentialHOURS OF WORK: Day, Subject to change due to operational requirementsSALARY: $50,128 to $70,070 per year (Pay Band 4) (Based on 37.5 hours per week)JOB PURPOSE:The Manager will support incident reviews, plan and conduct regularly scheduled risk assessments, and work collaboratively with managers, directors and all other stakeholders to support risk management, quality improvement and patient safety.The Manager will provide expertise in the ongoing development and support of Horizon Health Networks Integrated Risk Management Framework.The Manager will work with leaders and their teams to identify and assess risks/hazards and develop risk mitigation plans; as well as assist the organization to define and implement a risk appetite statement to support better risk sensitive decision-makingQUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or certificate in a healthcare discipline and a minimum five years experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of Lean methodology, models, processes and tools and their use in a healthcare setting
  • Competency in computer skills of Microsoft Office products, as demonstrated by testing
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required .
Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:
  • Excel 80%
  • Outlook 50%
  • Word 50%
  • Power Point 50%

  • Working knowledge of health care systems
  • Strong human relations and facilitation skills
  • Skills in prioritization, problem solving, organization, decision-making, time management and planning
  • Ability to work both independently and in a complex team environment; collaborate with a wide range of professionals and other stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to change and act as a change agent
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with ease and efficiency
  • Valid Drivers license and the ability to travel on a regular basis
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Improvement principles
Other Essential Requirements/Qualifications:Demonstrated adherence to all privacy legislation and corporation policies to ensure all confidential patient, business, financial and employee information is accessed on a need to know basis only (for required job duties) and is disclosed only to those authorized to receive it.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Integrated Risk Management Manager will:
  • Review and analyze incident report data, conduct audits, report trends and identify risk management issues
  • Develop and lead integrated risk management related projects
  • Act as a resource to provide risk management education, training and awareness on an ongoing basis
  • Assist managers/directors to develop, implement and sustain risk management plans following risk assessments in relation to their strategic and operational plans
  • Facilitate the identification and ongoing assessment of key organizational risks, both operational and strategic
  • Coordinate completion of the HIROC Risk Assessment Checklists, or Risk Modules, on a three-year cycle
  • Represent risk management on various committees as required.
