About usVolunteer Miramichi Inc. is a non-profit committed to promoting volunteerism as well as providing services for Family Support Work and Adult Residential Facilities to the Department of Social Development.Full Time and Casual Staffing for special needs adults residences. These facilities are staffed 24/7 and as such would require shift work of 12 hour shifts. These facilities are located in Miramichi, NB.Duties would include care of clients including programming, assisting with personal hygiene, outings, cooking meals, cleaning, and administering medications. We operate using a team based approach and staff would report to the the residential manager.Applicants should be caring, patient and have the ability to work unsupervised.As we have contracts with government agencies, there are specific education requirements. Graduates from only the following programs will be considered: home support worker program, special care home worker program, health care aid program, human services program or nursing assistant program.Applicants must have a clear social development records check, clear criminal background record check, and be vaccinated against Covid 19. Some experience with people with autism would be an asset. Due to frequent client transportation needs, a valid driver’s license and a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance is required. Staff must have valid First Aid & CPR, and Non Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset. Applicants would be for full time hours or an on-call basis.
