Human Resources Advisor“Employee and Labor Relations”Permanent positionPosition to fill 1Code RH22-31Work location is in NunavikDeadline to apply November 10, 2022The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.Privileges & benefits

Future challengesReporting to the Sr. Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Advisor ensures sound management of human resources and union relations at the site in partnership with the management team on site, as well as the human resources management team based in Montreal. In general, his responsibilities include, among others:
  • Advise managers on aspects related to labor relations and human resources management in general.
  • Support managers by offering them various tools and solutions that are consistent with their objectives, while promoting the application of best HR practices in the industry.
  • Manage various files in partnership with the union representatives in place.
  • Support and inform employees on all matters related to the administrative management of human resources (payroll, benefits, work schedules, etc.) and refer them to the appropriate resources when required.
  • Performs any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.
  • Meet the companys health and safety requirements and recommendations.
What we are looking for
  • Hold a bachelors degree in industrial relations or human resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with an " employee and labor relations " profile.
  • Excellent ability to manage several files simultaneously while ensuring sound management of priorities, in a dynamic context.
  • Experience in an advisory role, in support of a management team and employee relations.
  • Bilingualism (French and functional English).
  • Excellent knowledge of the various software of the MS Office suite.

  • Experience in mining.
  • Member of the CRHA, CRIA order
