Job Description

DISPATCHTemporary position – UNIONIZEDPosition to fill 1Code RH22-30Hourly rate 27,80 $Deadline to apply October 3, 2022The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.Privileges & benefits

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Security & Emergency Response Supervisor, the dispatch agent ensures the safety of all employees at the mine site, as well as the company’s assets. Its main responsibilities are:
  • Enters all road traffic circulating on the mine site through radio communication;
  • Respond to emergency calls, delegates information to the resources, and supports/follows the action plan;
  • Initiate research if a vehicle has not arrived as its destination in reasonable time;
  • Involved in the logistics of the transport of the employees;
  • Relaying urgent requests by radio, telephone or in person when necessary;
  • Produce and prepare various reports;
  • Performs other related tasks.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, training in security or dispatch would be an asset;
  • A valid driver’s license class 5;
  • A valid CPR training;
  • Experience in an industrial or mining environment is an asset.
Assets
  • Bilingual (English and French);
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
