Covered Bridge Potato Chip Company is looking for a dynamic, ambitious individual to support our team of Direct to Store Distribution (DSD) Sales Representative team in New BrunswickRole and ResponsibilitiesThe Merchandiser and Relief Sales Rep will help maintain the high demand for our product in the province of New Brunswick by assisting the route sales representative in merchandising the stores. This invidual will also be required to step into the role of DSD Sales Representative to relieve other team members for vacations or other absences. Covered Bridge Chips’ team of Sales Reps are based out of various cities across the province so the successful candidate must be able to travel within the province for up to a week (5 days) at a time.Excellent communication skills and a good customer service attitude is a must. Covered Bridge Chips DSD Sales Representatives are the face of the company in the Maritimes and the Merchandiser/ Relief Sales Rep will be interacting with our clients and customers. Familiarity with the grocery and retail sales distribution is an asset, this includes being ready to get an early start to each day.Qualifications and Education Requirements· Valid Class 5 driver’s license· Able to operate a cube van safely· Travel required within New Brunswick· High School Diploma or equivalent.· Previous retail or grocery sales experience preferred.· This is an active and physical role, successful candidates will need to be physically able to bend/squat/twist and stand repeatedly, lift and carry boxes of 10lbs to 50lbs, and on rare occasions climb ladders to access retail back stock.Preferred Skills and TraitsWell organized, able to follow directions, work independently. Independently motivated, personable, strong customer service focus. Ability to operate a large truck safely and confidently, following all instructions concerning vehicle operation and safety. Ability to operate Microsoft Outlook and an iPhone.
