Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Team Leader – Field. Your leadership and sense of responsibility make you the perfect person to prepare the work in the field. You will be responsible for ensuring team cohesion and checking the quality of the peat.OVERVIEW OF THE WORK:

  • Supervise activities in the field;
  • Operate the shredder to remove the compacted peat;
  • Plan the work according to the supervisor’s instructions;
  • Monitor the condition of equipment (hydraulic and mechanical);
  • Verifie that the equipment is properly used and maintained by the operators;
  • Checks the quality (moisture and cubic foot weight) and quantity of peat at harvest time in the fields.
  • Supervise staff;
  • Act proactively in follow-ups and interventions with employees;
  • Train and inform staff;
  • Plan meal times and ensure that schedules are respected;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and work procedures in your department.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
  • You have experience working in the fields;
  • You have already supervised a team (an asset) and know how to show leadership;
  • You have a good ability to work in a team and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • You are able to prioritize and organize yourself;
  • You can speak English and French (an asset).
