Job Description

Your routeReporting to the Retail Experience Manager, the primary role of the Merchandising Coordinator is to oversee and manage the daily activities of a reset project and multiple team members for optimal execution. Additionally, this position ensures proper execution of merchandising standards and planograms for all corporate stores within their designated region, train store staff on retail best practices, as well as retail showroom compliance. Please note that there is extensive travel in this position.Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-store renovation projects and openings, applying NAPA #39;s store standards and working in collaboration with the Retail Project Coordinator, Retail Experience Manager and Territory and Sales Managers for associate store projects. Provide service to both corporate and associate stores as needed.
  • Follow an annual schedule to complete showroom updates and maintenance for corporate stores, covering at least one store visit per year.
  • Provide in-store training for employees on TAMS for planogram maintenance, price labels, ePlanogram, system uploads, etc. as well as troubleshooting.
  • Coach stores on merchandising standards, recommend necessary actions for execution, basic showroom housekeeping protocols, promotional flyer materials (POP), item price changes, among other related tasks.
Under the hood
  • 3-5 year of previous retail experience with store setups, planograms, store fixtures, store changeovers or construction projects
  • Retail / people management experience, above-average time management and high sense of urgency
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Must have physical ability to push, pull, and lift material up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to travel for business about 90% of the time; this will be throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada
