Offering extensive and essential solutions - including pharmaceutical ingredients and service, mixing technology manufacturing, analytical testing, and education – Medisca is bridging the gaps in healthcare with an unwavering commitment to precision, innovation, and societal impact.The Business Development Executive (BDE) focuses primarily on prospecting new accounts, cross selling and upselling existing accounts whilst servicing and maintaining. You will be the alternative point of contact for customer sales, daily inquiries and business concerns. You will focus on the growth of the Medisca brand! The BDE builds and strengthens customer relationships, increases sales within the assigned territory and provides excellent service to customers and prospect new accounts.Location: Candidate must be based in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia The Territory covers all Atlantic ProvincesYour key responsibilitiesNew Business Development

  • Search for potential clients, visit medical complexes and physicians / health care professionals and obtain referrals
  • Identify pharmacies (non-compounders / compounders) and successfully convert their business to Medisca
  • Increase Medisca’s share of existing accounts
  • Leverage existing health care compounding prescribers to increase Medisca’s brand
  • Identify health care professionals and educate them on compounding to increase scripts
  • Encourage collaboration between physicians, pharmacists and Medisca
Maintaining Existing Accountsamp; Relationship Building
  • Attain monthly sales objectives and monitor profit margins
  • Analyze territory trends and identify opportunities
  • Regularly track and increase pharmacist business
  • Follow up with customers on sales and product availability – Inbound and outbound phone/email
  • Suggesting new revenue sources and products
  • Ensure clients data and calls are kept relevant and current in systems
  • Proactively following up with clients to ensure that they always have the support they need
Generate Sales from Inactiveamp; New Customers
  • Cold call prospective customersamp; determine opportunities to create business
  • Research new potential client optionsamp; follow up on referrals from existing clients
  • Open new accountsamp; support onboarding
Work collaboratively with Account Executives
  • Discuss existing accounts with Account Executivesamp; strategize on how to increase business
  • Inform Account Executives of planning cycle to maximize synergies and account contact
  • Provide leads and referrals to visit
Travel
  • Client visits, Tradeshows, Training and etc…
  • 50% travel required to Atlantic provinces
Skills, knowledge and abilities
  • College or University degree. Sales or Science background an asset
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a sales role
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician, knowledge of compounding or representative in pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven abilities in discovering opportunities, developing strategies and closing sales
  • Effective organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Memorable, dynamicamp; animated
  • Excellent communication and listening skills;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) required
  • Knowledge of working with a CRM tool (Creatio an asset)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills; fluent English (writtenamp; oral) required; Basic French
