Job Description

Position OverviewWe are currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill within our Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports to the Shift Supervisor.The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC Boring mill. Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the CNC Boring Mill to specific parameters/measurements.
  • Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices (wrenches, impacts, calipers).
  • Read and interpret production documentation, including blueprints.
  • Maintain production schedules.
  • Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machining Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Comply with all company policies.
Qualifications
  • A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience.
  • Boring mill experience (i.e., Toshiba, Fermat, or similar).
  • Probe experience (Renishaw preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GD and T.
  • Able to operate overhead crane and rigging equipment
  • Able to read imperialamp; metric measurements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
